Description:

Corporate decisions to slash newsrooms across the country, with Colorado at Ground Zero, are forcing new thinking about the viability of local journalism in America. Why does it matter?

Because information is power, and an uninformed public is ill-prepared to participate in a democracy.

Dave Krieger knows about this. He was fired as editorial page editor of the Boulder (Colorado) Daily Camera for speaking his mind. He will be joined by Nicco Mele, one of the nation’s leading minds at the intersection of media, politics and policy. They will explore the unique value of local community journalism, its link to a vibrant democracy, and innovative solutions for fighting back against an agenda intent on starving the public of information.

Free lunch included! First come first serve. Click HERE to RSVP and reserve your spot!”
