NCAC is pleased to invite you to attend our 4th Annual Literary Event featuring poet Tara Skurtu (Fulbright to Romania, 2015-2017)! Tara will talk about her Fulbright experience and read poetry from her new collection The Amoeba Game. Born in Key West, Florida, Tara is the recipient of two Academy of American Poets prizes and a Robert Pinsky Global Fellowship in Poetry. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Boston University and degrees in English and Spanish from the University of Massachusetts. She has taught at Boston University and BU’s Prison Education Program. Her poems are published and translated internationally. Tara is also the author of the chapbook Skurtu, Romania and the full poetry collection The Amoeba Game. Robert Pinsky wrote about The Amoeba Game saying her poems “offer a vision of our familiar world transformed by possibility.” Come for an engaging evening of poetry!
