During more than a decade of researching his The Boy Crisis, Dr. Farrell saw the global effect that father absence has on boys and men doing mass shootings, joining ISIS, committing suicide and suffering in more than 70 other ways. He discovered the degree to which these boys hurt, and how boys who hurt, hurt us.
Since Dr. Farrell also chairs the Coalition to Create a White House Council on Boys and Men, his interest is greater than articulating the problem.
After discussing the evidence and causes of a global boy crisis, Dr. Warren Farrell will facilitate an in-depth discussion among community leaders, legislators, and government officials as to what can be done about it. Leaders will exchange ideas and build alliances both with each other and the community in both small and large group settings. Media will be invited to report the most promising plans.
