Busboys and Poets welcomes students to the Langston Room for a kick-off to commemorate the 15th Annual “Escape to Mecca” College Immersion Program at Howard University. 2018 is a milestone yearmarking 15 years of Chicago Public Schools and HU student group, Chicago People’s Union exposing more than 500 talented juniors and seniors to the “Mecca" of African-American Education. CPU and E2M Alum in the DMV area are encouraged to "Return to the Mecca," stop by Busboys and Poets to say "hi" or come around over the weekend to share your wisdom!
