About the Event

The 4th Saturday Slam Series (special edition!) provides an incredible opportunity for poetry lovers to experience the electrifying art of competitive performance poetry. This time, weâ€™re bringing the love a little earlier with an unforgettable midweek slam!

Prepare for two rounds of high-energy, love-inspired poetry as amateurs and professionals compete for the audience's favor. The stakes? A $100 CASH PRIZE â€“ winner takes all!

What to Expect

Slam Rules

Each poem must be the poetâ€™s original work.
Poets have 3 minutes 30 seconds (plus a 10-second grace period) to perform. Time starts as soon as the poet speaks or interacts with the audience.
Points will be deducted for exceeding the time limit.
No props, costumes, or musical instruments (this includes removing clothing).
Poems must be performed solo.
Poets can read from paper or electronic devices but cannot use them as props.
6 competitors will be eliminated after the 1st round, leaving the best to battle it out in the final round!
