The Panther Strikes

The Black Panther movie launched last week to record breaking audiences. Due to its African American themes, director, writer and major cast, Black Panther has taken on social significance rarely seen in Hollywood fare. Audiences and critics have both praised and found fault with its depictions. Join us for this open conversation about what has become an unexpected film phenomenon with panelists:

  • Washington Post’s DAVID BETANCOURT
  • SNCC Legacy Project’s COURTLAND COX
  • Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture’s DR. JOCELYN IMANI
  • #BlackPanther
