Join Busboys and Poets to discuss the Life, Travels, and Wisdom of an Award-Winning Photojournalist Award-winning National Geographic photojournalist and Indiana University professor Steve Raymer.
Steve Raymer has lived an extraordinary life, traveling the globe capturing timeless images that connect people across the planet and documenting conflicts, crises, and often unseen evils like the illegal trade in endangered animals. Now for the first time, a new book "Somewhere West of Lonely" brings together Raymer’s life work, combining more than 150 of his photographs from places like Alaska, Southeast Asia, the Middle east, Central America, India, Russia, and Great Britain with the stories behind the camera. This visual memoir is packed with the expertise and knowledge Raymer has gained during five decades as a photographer, author, and professor at a major U.S. research university.
