Join us for a special talk with three-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee Dr. Scilla Elworthy about her new book,  The Business PLan for Peace. Scilla will talk about why war continues; how peace can be built using proven examples; what it will cost, and who can do it. She’ll conclude with examples of what people can do to build peace in the community, in our schools, in the workplace and in our families, offering some training and taking lots of questions.
SCILLA ELWORTHY, PhD has been nominated three times for the Nobel Peace Prize for her work with the Oxford Research Group to develop effective dialogue between nuclear weapons policy-makers worldwide and their critics. She founded Peace Direct in 2003 to fund, promote and learn from local peace-builders in conflict areas, and was adviser to Peter Gabriel, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Sir Richard Branson in setting up ‘The Elders’.
