A Busboys and Poetry Event hosted this week by E-Baby
Eric "E-Baby" Smith began writing poetry in July, 2000; since then, he’s opened for R&B artists Musiq Soul Child, Me’Shell N’degeOcello, & Lyfe Jennings to name a few. After joining Jus Wiggin Entertainment in 2002 [agent: Tracy Wiggs], his “1 Poet Poetical Tour†reached over 150 colleges & universities across the US. In 2014, he was named the Spokenword Billboard Award’s Hot100 Top Ranking Artist of the Year. In 2016, he received Best Poet at the DMV Underground Awards. He has two CDs [“My Thoughts Are In This Ink†& "Inktoxicated"] and a book of haiku poetry ["HAIKU-N-U"]. E-Baby's performed on numerous cable programs and radio shows, educated conferences and entertained festivals, and hosted numerous poetry events [currently hosting every 4th Thursday of the month at Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville, MD]. Also, an employee of the U.S. Copyright office at Library of Congress, he preaches the importance of Copyright and gives out information on how to properly register your work. E-Baby .. a Poet, a Mentor, a Host.
$5 Cover. On the day of the event, tickets can be purchased online here starting at midnight and in the restaurant starting at 10:00 AM in the bookstore (cash only). No refunds. Ticket purchase limit of 4 per person. Guests must have their wristbands (tickets) on upon entering the event.
Seating is available on a first come, first seated basis. No saved or reserved seats are allowed. Failure to check in within 30 minutes of advertised start time may result in forfeiture of seats. Sorry, no refunds.
