A.W.E. Monday Night Women's Open Mic! A Busboys and Poetry Event For two hours audiences can expect a diverse chorus of women's voices and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open mic rookies, musicians whom are all thought leaders and women artists local to our scene, and beyond.

Carolyn Malachi, the Grammy-nominated songstress hailing from Washington, DC, is a shining example of how music truly is universal. Her vocal talents, breathtaking live performances, and songwriting acumen have served international audiences and wowed music lovers in South Africa, China, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea, Japan, Haiti, Barbados and beyond. Generating global excitement about American art and delighting local cultures are the just a few of the qualities that, according to MTV, make her “An R&B artist to obsess over.” Using her music and social media platforms as forces for good, Malachi, a Fulbright-Hays grant recipient, advocates for equal access to education and technology. For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of voices, and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open mic rookies, musicians and a different host every week. Expect to be moved, expect a packed house, expect the unexpected, but above all come with an open mind and ear.

$5 cover. Wristbands are available for purchase online at midnight and in the restaurant starting at 10:00 AM (cash only). No refunds. Ticket purchase limit of 4 per person. Guests must have their wristbands (tickets) on upon entering the event.

Seating is available on a first come, first seated basis. No saved or reserved seats are allowed. Failure to check in within 30 minutes of advertised start time may result in forfeiture of seats.
