Description:

Join us for a conversation with journalist Jacob Silverman about his new book Gilded Rage: Elon Musk, and the Radicalization of Silicon Valley. Gilded Rage travels the world to uncover the networks of tech and finance oligarchs emboldened by the zero-interest rate years, now using their wealth to exert an increasingly radical political program. Alongside Daniel Greene, Associate Professor at UMD’s College of Information, Corey Frayer of Consumer Federation of America, and Sandeep Vaheesan of Open Society, we’ll discuss why Silicon Valley threw in with MAGA, how that led to DOGE’s assault on federal workers, and what it means for America and Americans.
