Featuring:Â Michael D. Martin
Michael D Martin is a spoken word artist from Baltimore by way of New Jersey. Michael's content encompasses just about all of the human experience. You will hear everything from happy to hurt, from confidence to self-doubt, from religion to sexuality, to the experience that is being black in America. Michael likes to discuss the things we all think and say to ourselves when no one is watching. He makes it his business to be the vacuum that digs issues from under the rug. Michael D Martin gave his first performance in August 2014. Since then Michael has performed in a fundraiser for the United Way. He has been featured at several open mic venues up and down the east coast. He has published a chapbook, titled "When No One's Watching." Last but not least, Michael also qualified to compete in the National Poetry Slam in 2015 and 2017. Above everything, Michael D. Martin's primary objective is to leave every audience member or reader better than they were before.
