Description:

Modish Moms is a DC based 501c3 nonprofit organization created for millennial mothers in pursuit of a better lifestyle, career and parenting opportunities. We provide information, support and resources for mothers balancing the many trials and triumphs of motherhood. Our goal is to create a community of mothers that supports and empowers one another in all walks of life. We reach mothers and their supporters through community outreach and events. 

"Meeting in the Ladies Room" is a series of workshops and seminars where women come to connect, network and learn from one another. This will be out first "Meeting in the Ladies Room" where we will focus on Branding and Marketing. We will be featuring a guest speaker and a few local small businesses. Come out to learn, connect and shop with us!

Featured Speaker: Christine Michel Carter 

Christine Carter is a nationally known marketing strategist and millennial thought leader, based in Baltimore. She has experience driving results for innovative, category leading companies. Christine has formed strategic alliances for organizations with the following companies and brands: Starbucks, Under Armour, Amazon (Whole Foods), Popchips, KIND Snacks, IKEA, Red Bull GmbH, The Coca-Cola Company (Honest Tea) and Procter & Gamble (CoverGirl). Christine has also partnered with niche brands such as Brahmin, Chicco, Orgain, Hungryroot, 23andMe, OtterBox and Therapedic as a social media influencer via her Twitter and Instagram accounts. 

TV /PODCAST APPEARANCES: Christine is a voice for millennial moms (and uniquely, young black female professionals and mothers). As a result she has appeared on a number of podcasts, served as a panelist at national conferences and has advised multicultural media outlets like Black Entertainment Television (BET). ABC2News, Black Girl Bosses Podcast, The Black Girl Bravado Podcast, Black Girls Laughing Podcast, MadameNoire, Switch, Pivot or Quit Podcast, WEAA-FM.

She also contributes a health and wellness perspective to Health (which is often syndicated to partners, including RealSimple).
