Spoken Word to Go-Go Open Mic Series
Are you ready to bring your poetry to the beat of DC’s signature sound? Art to Go-Go invites spoken word artists to step up and practice their craft at the Spoken Word to Go-Go Open Mic Series, featuring live go-go tracks custom-made by The Experience Band & Show!
This electrifying open mic series will take place at three different Busboys and Poets locations across the DMV, leading up to Round 1 of the 2024 Spoken Word to Go-Go Championship on May 7th at Busboys and Poets Anacostia. This is your chance to refine your spoken word performance, get comfortable with the rhythm, and prepare for the ultimate competition!
Please note: The tracks used for the open mic series are for practice only and will not be the same as the ones used in the competition. Competition tracks will be randomly assigned to the Round 1 contestants.
