Bill Barnes presents Project 2020: Let's Save America Exhibition on view thru July 2025 at Busboys and Poets Brookland.

The Art Project began as a single painting in the later part of 2020, marking the trail of COVID-19 moving throughout the United States. There was so much happening in the US as a result of the epidemic, its facets and concerns, that he decided no one painting could express his thoughts. He created seven paintings in total representing the various ways he felt that we as US citizens were impacted. Maybe this is a woodshed moment, and if we take advantage of hindsight, perhaps we can come together and create a better future.

Join Busboys and Poets Curator Carol Rhodes Dyson and Barn discuss his work and its meaning in 2025.
