Please join Busboys and Poets Books as we welcome author Pamela Samuels Young to 14th and V to discuss her books "Anybody's Daughter" and "Abuse of Discretion."Â
Pamela Samuels Young is an attorney, anti-trafficking advocate and award-winning author of eight legal thrillers. Her mystery Anybody’s Daughter won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Fiction and was a Top Ten pick by In the Margins, the best books for at-risk teens. Her latest release, Abuse of Discretion, take a shocking look at the juvenile justice system via a troubling teen sexting case. Pamela spent fifteen years as a Managing Counsel for Labor and Employment Law at Toyota. Prior to her legal career, she worked as a television news writer and associate producer. Pamela received her bachelor’s degree from USC and earned graduate degrees from Northwestern University and UC Berkeley School of Law. She is also a natural hair enthusiast and the author of Kinky Coily: A Natural Hair Resource Guide. The Compton native is a frequent speaker on the topics of teen sexting, child sex trafficking, self-empowerment and fiction writing.
