Please join Busboys and Poets Books as we welcome bestselling author Rene Denfeld to our 5th and K location. 

Rene Denfeld is an internationally bestselling author and journalist and an investigator in death penalty cases. She has written for the New York Times Magazine, the Oregonian, and thePhiladelphia Inquirer and is the author of five books. Her first novel, The Enchanted, won numerous honors, including the prestigious Prix Goncourt, an ALA Medal for Excellence in Fiction, and Book of the Year from the Oregonian. Rene lives in Portland, Oregon, with her three children. She will be discussing her newest book, The Child Finder. 

Rene will be joined in conversation with David Swinson. David Swinson is a retired police detective, having served 16 years with the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department. The Second Girl is his first novel to feature Frank Marr. Swinson currently lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, daughter, bull mastiff, and bearded dragon.

Books will be available for purchase before and after the event.
