Description:

Will Black, minorities lives matter under Trump?

Come join us at Busboys and Poets for a thought-provoking Open Mic discussion on the impact of the new Trump administration, stacked with billionaires, on minority communities. Clearly, DEI is now a thing of the past.

Amnesty U.S.A. has already declared a human rights emergency in the U.S.

But will all the gains made by Black folks during the civil rights movement be swept away? With Elon Musk attacking Muslims and Trump's promise of mass deportations of Latinos, what can the people do to defend their gains in an organized fashion?

Black and Latino community activists, union leaders, progressive clergy, women rights defenders, LGBTQ folks will have to coalesce and join hands as an onslaught is expected on them individually and collectively.

This in-person event will delve into the challenges faced by Blacks and minority groups and explore ways to advocate for change. Don't miss this opportunity to network with leading racial and social justice advocates and engage in meaningful dialogue.
