Description:

The COVID-19 pandemic put science (and scientists) in the public eye like never before – highlighting the importance of clearly communicating results from scientific studies and a need for greater representation in clinical trials, especially those evaluating new medicines. It also showcased how policies could drive or limit scientific innovation.

This event will discuss the importance of continuing support for science, the power of generating data that is more representative of all people, and recent legislation to ensure the US remains a leader in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Whether you are a scientist, know a scientist, or simply love science, please join us at 6:00 PM on October 4th for this free in person event.
