In honor of the Day of Cuban Culture, Busboys and Poets has partnered with the Cuban Embassy to host a Cuban Film Festival to celebrate the art and culture of Cuba. 

Cuban Film Festival:

Wednesday, 10/16- 6:30 PM @ 14th Street FILM SCREENING AND DISCUSSION: The documentary film "MAISINICU, MEDIO SIGLO DESPUES" (Maisinicu, Half a Century Later-2023) followed by a conversation with the director: Mitshell Lobaina. The film Maisinicu marked the beginning of a new cultural direction for Cuba.  It is the first creative film offered by the revolutionary government of Fidel Castro.  The documantary MAISINICU, MEDIO SIGLO DESPUES -- details the progression of the Cuban film industry.  Join the director of the film and dignitaries from the Cuban Embassy for an insightful discussion after the screening.
