Join us on Wednesday, January 8, 7:30 EST at Busboys and Poets Takoma, for The Grapevine! Spoken word performance for adults and teens, celebrating the timeless art of the story. This month, we will have storytellers Gerald Fierst and Kory May.Â
Gerald is an actor, storyteller, and author who has worked in film, television, and theater.Â
Kory tells stories to make sense of the world. He performs in Iowa with TellersBridge, and entertains audiences throughout the Midwest.Â

Gerald Fierst is an actor, storyteller, and author who has worked internationally in film, television, and theater. He worked closely with Dr. Yaffa Eliach and adapted her award-winning collection of oral histories, Hasidic Tales of the Holocaust into the musical play Dancing With Miracles. He has received two Parents' Choice Awards for recordings of world folktales. More about Gerry
Kory May tells stories to make sense of the world. Since the world continues not to make sense, Kory continues to tell stories. For 2000+ consecutive nights (six years and running), he has done a nightly microcast, “Thoughts Too Big for My Headâ€. Kory performs twice monthly with TellersBridge, an Eastern Iowa storytelling collective and he has entertained audiences throughout the Midwest. He has stories and will travel.  More about Kory
