The emergency medicine residency program at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, in collaboration with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Georgetown University School of Medicine, was established in July 2006 and is a three-year, ACGME-accredited training program emphasizing pediatrics, critical care, and trauma management.
The program's vision is to produce exceptional and compassionate emergency physicians who are capable of responding to urgent needs for medical care with speed, skill, efficiency, and confidence. Our goal is to train the next generation of leaders in academic and community emergency medicine.
