We are delighted to host a reception as part of our Violence Interrupter Symposium on Tuesday, July 23rd, from 6 PM to 9 PM at Busboys and Poets. This reception is designed for professionals in the violence prevention and community safety field, aiming to connect experts, practitioners, and frontline workers from the local DMV area. Our goal is to foster connections between Violence Interrupters (VIs) and other violence prevention organizations, promoting collaboration, resource sharing, and partnership building for enhanced community safety.

This reception marks a pivotal part of our larger symposium, convening violence interrupters for mutual learning, collaboration, and advocacy. Building directly on the insights and recommendations outlined in the VI white paper, this symposium serves as a platform for violence interrupters to exchange insights, strategies, and challenges in violence prevention. Participants will unite to collectively advocate policymakers on issues central to violence prevention and community intervention.
