Join us for a high-vibes evening of community building, vibrant literary traditions, and sharing diverse Muslim voices this blessed Ramadan!

Our theme for this event is: Liberation Stories.

What does liberation mean to you? How are you liberating yourself and others during a historic time of oppression in the world? Does liberation start with the mind and heart? Come share your stories of liberation.

Poets, musicians, comedians, and storytellers of all kinds are welcome to share with us at this special event. Step up to the mic and immerse yourself in a tapestry of voices, each weaving tales of resilience, self-discovery, and the power of liberation. Whether you're a seasoned wordsmith or a budding poet, this event welcomes all to celebrate the beauty of change and liberation through the lens of Muslim voices and human experiences.If you'd like to perform, please sign up using this form.

The event is open to the public. All are welcome to enjoy the blessed time of Ramadan while building community and sharing stories! Share with your friends, family, and colleagues.
Your ticket includes a halal iftar meal, entertainment, and the lovely Busboys & Poets eventroom reserved just for us. Vegan & gluten free options available.
This is a limited seating event. No tickets will be sold at the door in order to make sure we can properly plan ahead for all our guests.
Seating will be based on a first come, first seated basis. Seats cannot be saved for anyone who hasn’t arrived if people are waiting at the door for a seat.
Prayer space and time will be available for maghrib and isha prayers. Attendees are welcome to join us for taraweeh prayer after the event nearby at Center DC from 9:30-11:00pm.
The original event date was March 16 but was changed to March 24. Apologies for any inconvenience!
