BOOMscat, consists of keyboardist/drummer/producer, Asha Santee (BOOM), and vocalist/songwriter Jennifer Patience Rowe (scat). Together, they create a sound that ignites vulnerability, elevation and self-reflection. Since their conception in the fall of 2012, BOOMscat has released three projects including No Life Jacket EP which reached #18 on the iTunes Top RnB Albums, performed at several venues in Chicago on their "Peace & Body Roll Tour" including the University of Chicago, and have gained support from gospel music legend, Richard Smallwood, international performing artist Ayanna Gregory, The Gateway Arts District, Kimpton Hotels, several event promoters throughout the Metropolitan Area and many more avid music lovers. When it comes to that 'feel-good' R&B, DMV's Alex Vaughn is the artist you've been looking for! The 22 year old, singer/songwriter/pianist/producer comes with a wide range of soul and energy that is infectious to anyone she comes across! Back in October 2015, the soulstress dropped her debut EP, 'The 4pm Mix', a 6 track ride through an eventful weekend for the average young adult. Her newest single, 'GOOD MORNING' gives listeners some soulful bars over classic horn samples, giving a 'good-old-time' groove. Aside from her personal music grind, she has performed alongside notable artists such as Anthony Hamilton, Goapele, Nathan East and many others. From her catchy flows, to her sensual 90's-inspired style, Alex Vaughn is definitely the one to keep your eyes on!
