For this very special night of The Womb, Improbable Comedy is partnering with Grassroots Comedy to bring you The Womb: Comedy Workshop.
Some of your favorite stand up comedians will bring completely new jokes to you, mixed right in to a set with their best stuff. In THE WOMB, all jokes are conceived somewhere (see what we did there?) - let's hear the best of them and you can pick your faves!
Our lineup for tonight:
Shelley Kim, Rola Zaarour, Grace Wynter, Jewel Everhart, Auriel Haack, Lisa Kays, Erin Grossman, Swetha Ramesh, and host Rosalie Rubio.
This show features graduates of Grassroots Comedy's "You Belong on Stage" Standup Comedy Incubator for Women and Nonbinary Folx, a new program for aspiring comedians to build community and workshop material. About half of this pilot cohort had never been on stage before, and all worked hard to find their comedic voices and hone their five minute sets through weekly classes and support from some of the best comics in the DMV. We will also have sets from some of the professional comedians who trained this crew.
