Writers Resist is a national network of writers driven to #WriteOurDemocracy by defending the ideals of a free, just, and compassionate democratic society. Bring a poem or other writing for the open mic that speaks to these ideals. Silence is not and never has been an option! Throughout the US and in other countries, writers are organizing their own Writers Resist events on Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, January 15, 2017. More info here: www.writersresist.org.
