A poetry slam is a competitive event in which poets perform their work and are judged by members of the audience. Typically, the host or another organizer selects the judges, who are instructed to give numerical scores (on a zero to 10 or one to 10 scale) based on the poets' content and performance.
This is an opportunity for poetry lovers to enjoy the competitive art of late-night performance poetry!
Enjoy two rounds of high intensity poetry, with the audience choosing a winner.

California born and Maryland raised, Simply Sherri started writing in 2001 and started reciting her work in 2008 in her poetic home of Baltimore. With topics ranging from love and relationships to depression and verbal abuse, her writing style is easy going and a reflection of her world.
Simply Sherri has spotlighted and featured in New York City, Philadelphia, Washington and Atlanta. In 2010 she released her debut poetry CD Liquefy. She released her first book “Love Simply” in 2015. She is the host of several poetry venues between Baltimore, MD & Washington, DC.
