Description:

Author Dr. Pedram Navab, FAASM, Esq. offers the millions that suffer from chronic insomnia and other sleep disorders an innovative, drug-free treatment that brings improved sleep—plus remarkable gains in the quality of waking life—in just four weeks. Insomnia is a nightly fact of life for between 10 and 30 percent of adults, experts estimate. Dr. Navab assures readers who dread lying awake in bed, night after night, and then struggle to get through the day feeling like a zombie. In a practical, entertaining, and easy-to-understand format, he shares the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) program he has used to help thousands of patients sleep better.

“Sleep is a natural process, and to exert external pressures on it will simply backfire,” Dr. Navab observes, affirming what many readers already know from years of frustrating experience with assorted over-the-counter and prescription sleep aids. “Rest assured that the techniques we’ll use in this book will place some ‘pressure’ on sleep, but it’s pressure that is innate and not external or foreign to the system.” An engaging read as well as an informative, step-by-step resource, SLEEP REIMAGINED presents nine detailed case studies profiling the most common types of sleep problems and one evidence-based program to solve them. The results from this case study are based on the actual experiences of Dr. Navab’s patients.

Dr. Pedram Navab is joining us on the Busboys stage to offer a unique, empathetic perspective on the daily drain and nightly ordeal of insomnia. Meanwhile, aiming to not only break the cycle of anxiety-ridden sleeplessness but also change our perception of sleep.

This event is free and open to all. Our program begins at 7:00 pm, and will be followed by an audience Q&A. Copies of SLEEP REIMAGINED will be available for purchase before and after the event. Please note that this event is IN PERSON and will NOT be livestreamed.

We ask that guests RSVP in order to receive direct updates about the event from Busboys and Poets Books
