Patricia Davis-Muffett is excited to share that her first poetry collection, Alchemy of Yeast and Tears, is being published by Kelsay Books in March 2023. The book focuses on the griefs and joys of being part of the “sandwich generation,” mourning the loss of a mother while coping with the complexities of raising children to be full humans in a troubled world.
Doors open at 5:30 pm
Reading at 6:15 pm.

About the author:
Long ago, when she was in her twenties, Patricia Davis-Muffett thought she would take the poetry world by storm. One MFA, many notebooks and self-addressed stamped envelopes, and some publications and readings later, she realized she had some living to do. Now, with her technology marketing career well-established and her three children adults or near-adults, she is returning to her roots.
At the start of the pandemic, she decided to repurpose her commuting time for daily writing practice and the result is dozens of poems published in literary journals, a new chapbook, and honors including her exciting but somewhat ironic inclusion in Best New Poets 2022.
