Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, 'National Park Roads: A Legacy in the American Landscape' uses the history of park roads to explore the whole conception of the parks, including their iconic views, and the phenomenal rise of park-visitor culture. The book has been created with the cooperation of the NPS, and includes many incredible photos from their archives. Although full of good scholarship, the book is highly readable and very much aimed at the common reader, particularly national park enthusiasts.  The author is NPS historian Tim Davis. Tim is a highly experienced public speaker and lives and works in D.C.  Join us in the Nicolas Guillén for a conversation with the author.  Tim Davis will appear on the Kojo Nnamdi Show on 10/25.  Be sure to tune in and then attend his talk!
