Busboys and Poets welcomes the Washington Teacher's Union to the Langston Room for “Checking Ourselves and Our Systems for Ensuring Equity” A Dialogue with Enid Lee.
In our everyday practice as educators, we have a million moments for ensuring equity or for maintaining inequity. In this facilitated dialogue, Enid Lee will invite educators to examine the systems and structures in our schools and other spheres of influence for equity or inequity.
Enid will discuss the ways in which, despite our fear, teachers are able to use their discretionary power individually and collectively to work against racism and other forms of oppression. We will encourage each other with numerous examples from the field to develop the rich human potential within us and around us.
