The public is invited to attend a screening of this groundbreaking documentary film that explores one of the most basic human questions: “What Should I Eat?” In the film, “In Defense of Food,” best-selling author Michael Pollan (The Omnivore’s Dilemma) looks at food in America — and how we decide what to buy and eat. Pollan looks closely at the Western diet.
Much of our “food” has been replaced by nutrients and science instead of real food. According to Pollan, this introduces a paradox: the more we worry about nutrition, the less healthy we become.
