Seven English language professors from the Centro Venezolano Americano del Zulia are visiting Washington, DC as part of the “American Culture and TEFL Education†project of the International Visitor Leadership Program—the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. In Venezuela, the center fosters a welcoming environment where visitors and students can connect and learn about the United States. The “American Culture†project will showcase the variation and distribution of the U.S. English language and enhance the participants’ understanding of American culture and history.
