This Month's Features:Â
Margaret Chatham
Once upon a time, Margaret Chatham kept her young daughter awake in the car by telling a half-hour Just-So story. Now she’s more likely to tell the same story to put her granddaughter to sleep for her nap. In between, there has been tandem telling (A Child’s Christmas in Wales!) with husband Ralph, whose voice is now, alas, silenced. There have been many years of Voices in the Glen Storytelling Festivals, storytelling tents at Potomac Celtic Festivals, even more years of Washington area Saturday night storyswaps, and once an NSN Oracle Award. When not involved with stories, Margaret studies native plants & weeds the wild, plays French horn in the City of Falls Church Concert Band, and collects dolls from around the world — on view whenever she hosts a storyswap.
