Join us at Busboys and Poets for a discussion of the book False Choices: The Faux Feminism of Hillary Rodham ClintonÂ
False Choices: The Faux Feminism of Hillary Rodham Clinton, a collection just-published by Verso Books, advances a feminist critique of the current Democratic front-runner. Our discussion will encompass not only the problems with Clinton's record, but with the kind of feminism she represents. We will also discuss the possibilities that the campaign season opened up for for left feminist activism and thinking.Â
The evening will feature False Choices editor Liza Featherstone and contributors Medea Benjamin and Maureen Tkacik, in conversation with Electronic Intifada’s Rania Khalek. Feminist comedian and radio host Katie Halper will moderate the discussion.
