Description:

The 19th Annual Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam Festival will convene the most outstanding and outspoken youth poets from around the world for 5 days of workshops, slams, showcases, community service and civic participation events.

This year's festival is aimed at redefining what it means to be an American in the 21st Century. We will turn up Washington, DC and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as we return to the nation's capital for the first time since we were featured on HBO in 2008.

2016 Team applications are closed.

For more information about the Festival please view our FAQ or email Tish Jones: tjones@youthspeaks.org
