Donald Trump essentially secured the Republican nomination for President of the United States. We can't sit around any longer hoping that his campaign fueled by bigotry, racism, and misogyny will fizzle out on its own. If we do, he will only continue to win.
Just over the border in Virginia low voter turnout in constituencies that Trump’s policy agenda would hurt most will be key to winning the state, and ultimately the national election. Starting this month, we’ll be registering voters to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to cast a ballot in November. Later, we'll be mobilizing volunteers from the District to plug into campaigns up and down the ballot to make sure Donald Trump and other hateful candidates don't win.
