AAA Book Readings - World on the Move: 100,000 Years of Human Migration
Description: “The American Anthropological Association (AAA) has launched a public education initiative entitled World on the Move: 100,000 Years of Human Migration. “World on the Move†will offer people a chance to pause and rethink ideas about migration, displacement, and belonging. Drawing on a wealth of case studies from the depths of human history and the breadth of cultures across the planet, the Initiative aims to help people appreciate migration histories—their own and others.
Elzbieta M. Gozdziak, a research professor at the Institute for the Study of International Migration (ISIM) at Georgetown University, will be reading selections from her latest book, “Trafficked Children and Adolescents in the United States: Reimagining Survivors†published by Rutgers University Press.
