April is National Child Abuse Awareness month, join us on this night to celebrate the strength of the survivors, give back, and show support for the children who continue to suffer.
Six of the most talented spoken word artists of the DMV area will come together to share a performance stage in an effort to raise funds for Safe Shores.Â
Safe Shores is a DC based advocacy center that provides intervention, hope and healing for children and families affected by abuse, trauma and violence in the District of Columbia and preventing child abuse through education and training.Â
Attendees will be able to enjoy the poetry showcase as well as hear from guest speaker advocates and participate in a silent auction featuring priceless items from local visual artists and artisans.
