Join us for the 1st 2016 College Regional Poetry Slam of the DMV, as the poetry teams representing their respective schools, prepare to go to the College Union Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI). This will be a Poetry Slam featuring 5 local schools - Georgetown University, University of Maryland, American University, VCU, Towson University. A Slam is a poetry competition, where participants have a certain time limit to present a solo or group piece, and they are judged olympic style from 0.0-10.0 by 5 random people in the audience based on performance, originality, creative writing, and the overall piece.
