Description:

You're cordially invited to join the Corporation for Black Male Achievement and friends on Thursday, March 3rd at D.C.'s Busboys & Poets for a special in-person author discussion around the new book, I Too Am America: On Loving and Leading Black Men & Boys.

Authors Shawn Dove and Nick Chiles will lead an intimate conversation on the book and the importance of telling stories about hope, healing and community-building by and for Black men and boys. Joining them will be special guests David Johns, Executive Director of the National Black Justice Coalition; Selvon Malcolm Waldron, Executive Director of Genesys Works; and Artist, Activist and Howard University Student Sean Ali-Waddell. Books will be available for sale onsite, and the authors will sign copies immediately following the book talk.

This event is FREE, however all guests must register in order to attend due to limited space, and to adhere to all appropriate COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Light refreshments will be served and guests will have an opportunity to order food from Busboys & Poets menu.

We hope to see you there!
