Description:

Jackson Caesar, a Vocal Performer/Entertainer, presents a Black History Month lecture & concerton one of America’s first international African American concert singers. Roland Hayes: born on June 3, 1887, in Curryville, Georgia. Roland Hayes was an innovator for his courageous decision to include the “Religious Negro Folk Songs in his programs. This idea helped to open the doors for these songs to be included alongside mainstream music genres, such as Classical and Art Songs- making him a trendsetter and an international name.
