In his ninth book, Press assesses Obama’s presidency from a progressive perspective, and finds it disappointing. Looking carefully at the president’s actions on climate change, gun control, health care, and national security, Press repeatedly sees the Obama administration doing too little, getting the priorities wrong, or maintaining an unsatisfactory status quo.
