Join Busboys and Poets and the national racial justice organization Advancement Project for a Democratic Primary Debate Watch Party and racial justice panel discussion!
The Debate, organized by the Congressional Black Caucus Institute, the South Carolina Democratic Party and NBC News, will be moderated by Lester Holt. It is expected that the candidates will focus considerable time on issues affecting people of color and civil rights.
This is the first primary to be hosted solely by an African American moderator and will take place in Charleston where a White gunman opened fire during a prayer meeting at Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, a historic Black congregation on June 17, 2015.
The panel, beginning at 8p.m. EST will focus on issues of racial justice, immigrant justice, Islamophobia and a host of other civil and human rights issues.
