Since the age of 4, Slli’m has expressed himself through the arts. From the visual, to the written, to the spoken, Slli’m has always been an equal opportunity “heartistâ€. In 2004, he took to the stage, and began performing throughout the United States. As a performer, Slli’m has enjoyed the good fortune of sharing the venues with some the most dynamic wordsmiths in the genre. As a host, he has helped bring those talented artists to his loyal supporters. Over the years, Slli’m has delivered performances in slams, showcases, festivals, workshops and the National Underground Spoken Word and Poetry Awards, resulting in 4 NUSPA nominations. When you watch him, it’s easy to see that Slli’m loves hosting as much as performing. With Slli’m Williams, there is a constant effort to create a welcoming environment, spread positive vibes and bring fun to those around him.
For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of voices, and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open mic rookies, musicians and a different host every week. Expect to be moved, expect a packed house, expect the unexpected, but above all come with an open mind and ear.
$5 Cover. On the day of the event, tickets can be purchased online here starting at midnight and in the restaurant starting at 10:00 AM (cash only). No refunds. Ticket purchase limit of 4 per person. Tickets will be sold at the door if available. Guests must have their wristbands (tickets) on upon entering the event.
Seating is available on a first come, first seated basis. No saved or reserved seats are allowed. Failure to check in within 30 minutes of advertised start time may result in forfeiture of seats.
