Description:

A DC Science Café Event: "Tracking Tiger Beetles, Auroras, and the Power of Citizen Science"

Join us as we hear about citizen science from three different perspectives— an author who participated in a yearlong study chasing tiger beetles through southwestern New Mexico, a scientist who created a citizen science project that tracks auroras around the world, and a researcher who studies where the field is now and where it is going. The speakers are award-winning author Sharman Russell, NASA scientist Liz MacDonald, and citizen science researcher Andrea Wiggins from University of Maryland, College Park.

Free and open to the public.
