Todd has served on the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals at the Department of Defense and for more than two decades was a federal administrative judge on the Board of Contract Appeals at NASA, but in 1964 she was one of nearly a thousand who made Freedom Summer a pivotal event in the Civil Rights movement. Her memoir looks back to her experience starting the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party, she provides one of the few first-hand accounts of the MFDP’s struggle to be recognized at the Democratic Party convention in Atlantic City.
