A Talk About Gender and Policy in Communities of Color with Natalie Hopkins
#BlackGirlsMatter Discussion On Needs and Crisis Of Girls Of Color
A productive talk about gender and policy in communities of color. Nationally, many efforts have been launched to address the crisis facing boys of color which was long overdue.
However, one has to ask, do we really know the condition and needs of girls of color and what steps should be taken to address them? Is Obama's new global focus on education of girls the answer?
This and many issues and solutions will be discussed at #BlackGirlsMatter Event at Busboys and Poets today. This timely and much needed discussion will be moderated by Natalie Hopkinson, Interactivity Foundation. Panelist include Fatima Goss Graves, National Women's law Center, Justine Love, CBS Radio, Davina Callahan, former female crew member and Smith College graduate and Ronald Moten, Eleuthera Institute Art of Peace Project.
