Description:

Join Busboys and DC+Acumen for February's edition of our monthly Social Innovation Lab: The Moral Imagination Challenge.

Moral imagination is the humility to see the world as it is, and the audacity to imagine the world as it could be. The Moral Imagination Challenge will feature local artist Naeemah Powell who will speak on her experience growing up in South East D.C. at the height of the drug epidemic. Naeemah will also highlight her documentary: "Through the Eyes of the Children"; a compilation of stories on how drugs affect the lives of young children. Following Naeemah’s presentation, the audience will be presented with a design challenge around the development of economic opportunities for youth in poor communities. The ideas generated as a result of the challenge will be live tweeted to D.C. mayoral office.

This event is free and open to the public. Please register for this event here.
